Tuition includes: Term fees, academic program, use of facilities, housing, 3 meals daily while on campus (2 meals on weekends), recreation access, activities, blanket and pillow, and sheets and towel with weekly linen exchange.
Not included: Application fee, $70 student ID/technology fee, airfare, airport transfers (Available for $75 each way), class materials, course supplements, $50 document fee for unlimited official UCLA transcripts (6 week program only), meals eaten off campus, medical expenses, laundry, souvenirs, and personal spending money.
Our home on campus is Hedrick Summit Suites. You will be a part of a dynamic community of students and staff living together in one residence hall.
Whether you’re watching a movie or working on a group project, it’s great to live with your friends. And if you have any questions, your Resident Counselor (RC) lives down the hall and is there for you 24/7.
Here’s our set up:
Eat in the modern Rieber dining hall. Enjoy 3 meals every weekday and 2 on weekends, when on campus. Choose from daily options at the salad bar, deli counter, pizza oven, stir fry station, dessert bar, and more. Vegetarian? Food Allergy? Special diets are not a problem.
Our RCs are committed to the support and supervision of Summer Discovery students. Daily sign-ins and room checks are used for your safety. You are free to walk around campus and Westwood Village (our ‘home area’) in small groups. If you have a question, RCs are on duty to help.
Not feeling well? Summer Discovery staff make all medical appointments, accompany students to medical facilities, obtain prescription medications, and notify parents after medical visits. Appointments are made with Peak Health Medical Group or the UCLA Medical Center.
