The Dartmouth Summer Scholars pre-college academic enrichment programs are intensive academies designed by Dartmouth and taught by university faculty and expert instructors. They feature over five hours of class time each day, and some courses culminate in capstone presentations before a panel of selected peers and community members.
Diverse fields of study include entrepreneurship, business, data science, creative writing, psychology, medicine, engineering, design thinking, leadership and more. Highly sought-after courses include "Research and Lab Work Medicine”, “Business Foundations” and “Clean Energy Technologies”.
The Dartmouth Leadership Institute signature 2-week program combines intensive study, personal reflection, and leadership skills building on campus at Dartmouth combined with an off-campus outdoor experience. This signature program treats leadership as a practice: understand yourself, earn trust, make decisions under uncertainty, and help a team move forward.
In addition to life-changing knowledge, self-confidence and maturity, students receive a Dartmouth-branded Certificate of Completion, as well as a letter of recognition for coursework completed, as tangible evidence of their time and accomplishments at Dartmouth.
