At Atlas Summer Courses, learning is interactive, flexible and tailored to the students in the room. Rather than following a fixed syllabus, tutors adapt course content to students’ ages, existing knowledge and interests. With class sizes averaging eight students, seminars encourage discussion, questioning and active participation, allowing students to explore their chosen subject alongside peers.
Alongside seminars, tutorials provide opportunities for more focused academic discussion and feedback, helping students examine ideas in greater depth and develop their own thinking. Teaching is adapted to the age and academic level of each group, with students encouraged to develop skills including critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and independent learning as they progress through the programme.
Explore Courses
Atlas Summer Courses offers a broad range of summer courses in Cambridge for students aged 13–24, from Medicine, Law and Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE) to Computer Science, Business, Creative Writing and the Arts. Students can explore subjects they already enjoy, discover new academic interests or gain greater insight into an area they may be considering for future study.
Courses are tailored to students’ age and academic level, with Advanced courses available for students aged 18–24 who are ready to engage with their chosen subject in greater depth. Across age groups, students are encouraged to question ideas, contribute their own perspectives and develop their understanding through active academic discussion.
