How Do Courses Work? For each campus, you may build your own schedule (1 course in the morning, 1 course in the afternoon) or choose an Academy where the courses are packaged together for you (Academy also includes Inc. Young Entrepreneurs).

Python Programming

On CampusAge Range 14-18Course Time Afternoon EST

Learn object-oriented programming used by large and small software companies to more easily modify, reuse, and maintain code. Learn Objects and Classes, Methods, Encapsulation, Abstraction, Polymorphism, and Inheritance, and write complete programs in Python. This course is intended for students with basic programming experience in C++, Java, or Python. Students must have completed Algebra II with at least a B letter grade.

Who Should Take This Course? This course is suitable for budding software engineers who have experience in Python and/or other object oriented programming.
Highlights Taught by UT CS faculty and experienced IT professional & developer.
Courses & Academies This class is one of our UT Austin courses. Courses are single classes that are taken in the morning or afternoon. Students who take our courses select two courses to take during the session. Students will select a morning and afternoon course. Students will receive a certificate of completion from the University of Texas at Austin.
