We’ve had a great weekend here at Penn Summer Discovery! Friday was a fun filled day for our students. They had the opportunity to visit the One Liberty Observatory to see some amazing views of the city! We also hosted a bracket style Ping Pong Tournament where over 15 students competed for one of three exciting prizes! Additionally, the students and staff took part in Summer Discovery’s Got Talent! It was an exciting night filled with singing, dancing, magic tricks, stand-up comedy, and more!
Yesterday, the students visited Hershey Park for a day filled with thrilling rollercoasters, tours of Chocolate World, and tons of sweet treats! The students had access not only the amusement park, but also the water park, Chocolate World, and Zoo America.
This week is our last week with our Academy and first Penn Prep students and we plan on making every moment of it count! Today, students were able to take part in a trip to the King of Prussia Mall, one of the largest malls in the country! They also had the opportunity to go ice skating, visit Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, and sample their way through Reading Terminal Market!
We have plenty to look forward to this week as well. On Thursday, July 19, the Dean of Admissions, Eric Furda, will be speaking with our students. This is an incredible opportunity for the students to gain a better understanding of the college admission process as well as get answers to specific questions related to both University of Pennsylvania and the application process as general! The students will also be able to partake in plenty of opportunities such as a trip to Magic Gardens, Laser Tag, Mini Golf, and more! It’s sure to be another incredible week!
