Campus Life & Activities

Experience an amazing campus at University of Colorado Boulder, and learn to be independent with the help of our incredible staff. With weekend trips around Denver, to major league sports games, water and theme parks, museums, canyons and more, you are bound to have an amazing time during your summer at CU-Boulder.

Living together in the Kittredge Complex

Our home on campus is in the newly renovated Kittredge Complex, which offers breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains. You will be a part of a dynamic community of students and staff who live together in one residence hall.

Whether you’re watching a movie or working on a group project, it’s great to live with your friends. And if you have any questions, your Resident Counselor (RC) lives down the hall and is there for you 24/7.

Here's Our Set-Up:

  • Live in a double room with communal bathrooms.
  • Every air-conditioned room includes a bed, study desk, dresser, closet, and Wi-Fi.
  • Lounges, game rooms, laundry facilities, and the Summer Discovery office are all in our residence hall.
  • We are only a short walk from the Center for Community (C4C), academic buildings, Farrand Field, and the Hill. Did we mention the Hill is one of the coolest neighborhoods in any college town?

Delicious All-You-Can-Eat Dining On Campus

Eat in the Center for Community (C4C) dining center. Enjoy three meals every weekday, and two on weekends, while on campus. A variety of cultural options available at 10 micro-restaurants creates a not-to-be-missed culinary experience that both educates and engages the senses. Are you a vegetarian? Do you have food allergies? Special diets are not a problem.

Your Health + Safety are our Primary Concern

Our RCs are committed to the support and supervision of Summer Discovery students. Daily sign-ins and room checks are mandated for your safety. You are free to walk around campus, the Hill, and Pearl Street (our ‘home areas’) in small groups. If you have a question, RCs are on duty to help.

Not feeling well? Summer Discovery staff make all medical appointments, accompany students to medical facilities, obtain prescription medications, and notify parents after medical visits. Appointments are made with Wardenburg Health Center or Boulder Community Foothills Hospital.
