Sharpen your touch and enjoy daily games in this 2-week soccer camp for high school students in Summer Discovery’s UC San Diego program.
Course Description
Keep the ball moving and your summer in play. Spend two hours a day on the field with coaching, competitive drills, and teammates who are just as keen for the next game.
In this camp you will work on first touch, passing, dribbling, and shooting before putting your skills into games and scrimmages. Coaches teach as the action unfolds, helping you find space, keep possession, and decide when to pass or take a shot. You’ll train in groups matched to your ability.
Try a one-on-one move, work on finishing near goal, or learn where to stand to make an opponent’s next pass harder. Speed, agility, and conditioning are part of the fun through competitive drills. With regular coaching and plenty of play, you can practice a change and get right back into the game with your teammates.
This two-week morning camp for high school students is part of Summer Discovery at UC San Diego in La Jolla, California.

Why Soccer Camp
A summer of soccer means more chances to try the move, make the pass, and go again. Coaching gives you something specific to work on; games give you the chance to use it.
Enjoy time outdoors, meet players from across the program, and share the pace and energy of a sport you love. The goal is to keep improving while having a good time on the field.
Who Should Attend?
For students who have completed 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade.
For players who look for any excuse to get out on the field, this camp offers plenty of soccer with new teammates. School, club, and recreational players are grouped by ability. You should already know the game; sessions move at match speed and suit current players better than beginners learning the rules.
Your Summer at San Diego
UC San Diego’s coastal campus in La Jolla offers high school students a chance to experience university life in Southern California. Open spaces, distinctive architecture, and proximity to the Pacific Ocean make the setting memorable beyond the training sessions.
Outside camp, students can connect with new friends, join program activities, and develop independence as part of a university community. The surrounding San Diego region brings together recreation, culture, science, and technology, giving students a wider context for their summer experience.

After successfully finishing this course, you will be awarded a certification completion for your accomplishment.
