Get coached, get on the court, and play every day in this 2-week basketball camp for high school students in Summer Discovery’s UC San Diego program.
Course Description
Two hours on the court each day, with real coaching and plenty of time to play. Bring your love of basketball and spend the summer working on your game with new teammates.
In this camp you will sharpen your ball handling, shooting, footwork, and finishing, then get straight into games and scrimmages. Coaches teach as you play, helping you spot an open teammate, attack off the dribble, or find room for a shot. Groups are matched by ability, so you can play at a pace that suits your experience.
Competitive drills bring speed, agility, and conditioning into the mix. Practice using screens, moving without the ball, and playing solid defense, then try it all in live play. There’s time to get the repetitions you need and enjoy the challenge of playing together.
This two-week morning camp for high school students is part of Summer Discovery at UC San Diego in La Jolla, California.

Why Basketball Camp
More basketball, with coaching that helps you get more from every session. Work on your shot or your handling, then enjoy putting it to use in a game.
Camp brings together players who want to keep playing through the summer. Meet new teammates, challenge each other, and spend part of your day doing something you already enjoy.
Who Should Attend?
For students who have completed 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade.
If you’re always looking for another game, this camp gives you coaching, court time, and people to play with. School, club, and recreational players train in ability-based groups. Sessions move at game speed, so it’s a better fit for players who know basketball than for beginners learning the rules.
