Course Description
This course introduces students to the software and hardware tools used in modern robotics. By its conclusion, students will be able to design and assemble a complete robot applying 3D CAD to develop mechanical components, wiring and programming microcontroller-based circuits both virtually and on physical hardware and creating autonomous behaviors in simulation, progressing from open-loop linear commands to closed-loop control using various sensors. Throughout the course, students will learn engineering terminology, identify various parts of robotic mechanisms, and build and operate a small robotics kit. Projects and assignments will challenge their problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
Final Project
Students will build, test, and take home their own robot.
