Which is better - a bull market or a bear market? What’s the difference between the NYSE and the NASDAQ? How do you read a prospectus? Throughout the course, students will be introduced to the basics of investing and saving, including stocks and bonds, and will explore credit and investment. Students will learn how to navigate the stock market, when to buy, when to sell, and how to make your money work for you. Examine models that compare investment goals if you start investing as soon as you turn 18 versus waiting until you are older - the difference is huge! Additionally, the class will discuss the difference between the NYSE and the NASDAQ, and how to deal with interest rates. Students will put together a mini investment portfolio and hopefully watch it grow! By taking this class, students will learn valuable skills that will help them build confidence in their ability to navigate the world of investing and control their financial future.
