Summer Discovery Online Help Desk
The Summer Discovery Online Help Desk is a technology resource for students who may need assistance with accessing course materials, technology issues, and more. The Help Desk will be available Monday - Friday from 9am to 3pm EST. Email, phone and chat sessions will be available to students. Our goal is to ensure technology isn't a barrier for learning! Some additional Help Desk hours will be available for evening classes and for Sunday orientations.
Virtual Community Hours
The Summer Discovery Online live virtual community activites will be available Monday - Friday from 9am to 6pm EST. Students will have unlimited access to Canvas - the learning and community system - during the 6 weeks of their experience. Many recorded sessions and presentations will be available in the communiy during all hours. Live sessions will be hosted during the 9am to 6pm time frame. All non-curriculum sessions are optional, but will help students get the most out of their experience.

Learning Management System (LMS)
Canvas is used to host course and community sites. It is home to readings, video segments, discussion boards, quizzes and tests, group projects and other assignments both in Canvas and in tools that integrate with Canvas.
Smart Phones and Tablets: Access your Canvas courses on the go and in the classroom with the Canvas Student mobile app. While tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices may allow for some completion of coursework, they are not guaranteed to work in all areas. Please ensure you have a PC or Mac based computer available to complete coursework.
Canvas Student apps can be accessed through Android/Google Play and IOS.
