Wharton Updates

Check out our new online course, The Future of Business. We've re-opened our application to allow students to apply to this course for summer 2020.

Program Cancellations

Based on the continued global health crisis, the University of Pennsylvania has suspended all on-campus operations through the end of the summer. Given this recent development, the Wharton Global Youth Program has cancelled all face-to-face summer programs held on Penn’s campus. Where possible programs will shift online. If not possible, unique, online opportunities will be provided for interested students as an alternative. Specific program updates are below.

For programs that have been cancelled, students will be given the option to participate in Wharton’s new, online program offering.

Programs That Have Been Moved Online

For programs that are moving online, students will experience the same academic curriculum within a fully online format. Additional details can be found below.

Programs That Have Been Canceled

For programs that have been cancelled, students have the option to participate in a NEW, Future of the Business World online course offering. Please visit the course website for details!

This two-week course is anchored in forecasting the changing landscape of business and business leadership in the midst of dramatic change. Students will acquire knowledge guided by the pillars of a Wharton education and designed to prepare you as the next generation of business leaders for innovative thinking, data-driven solutions, and scenario planning in times of uncertainty.

The course includes live, daily course sessions with Wharton faculty, instructors, and teaching assistants, as well as independent work in the form of recorded lectures, readings, case studies, and assignments. Programming is drawn directly from Wharton coursework and is designed to push students personally and academically. Students will collaborate with peers on a capstone project to showcase their predictions of the future of the business world.

Beyond the two-week course, we are pleased to announce an additional virtual experience for participants. All enrolled students will receive exclusive access to Wharton’s Global Youth Meet-up (GYM), an extracurricular programming platform that allows students to connect with the Wharton Global Youth community before, during, and after their summer courses. Wharton GYM provides a combination of live and independent programming designed to introduce the core facets of Wharton’s celebrated undergraduate curriculum.
