Campus Life & Activities

Discover an amazing campus at Pace University, and learn to be independent with the help of our incredible staff. Home to the world-class performing arts center, the Schimmel Center, and a multimillion dollar physical plant, Pace University has a lot to offer.

Staying cool at Pace University

Our home on campus is 182 Broadway Hall, the brand-new Pace University residence hall located on the border of Tribeca and the Financial District. You will be a part of a dynamic community of students and staff who live together in one residence hall. Live in the same residence and participate in many evening and weekend activities with Summer Discovery Internship’s New York students.

Whether you’re watching a movie or working on a group project, it’s great to live with your friends. And if you have any questions, your Resident Counselor (RC) lives down the hall and is there for you 24/7.

Here's Our Set-Up:

  • Live in a triple room with private bathroom. A limited number of double rooms are also available.
  • Every air-conditioned room includes a bed, study desk, dresser, and high-speed internet.
  • Lounges, game rooms, fitness center, kitchen, screening room, free laundry facilities, and the Summer Discovery office are all in our residence hall.
  • Live a short walk from our academic buildings and Fulton Center, a transit center, and a major retail complex that connects 10 subway lines. Did we mention there is a four-story Urban Outfitters in our building and a Shake Shack across the street?

Delicious All-you-Can-Eat Dining On Campus

Enjoy 2 meals daily, 1 on weekends, while on campus. Explore a variety of off campus restaurants, cafés, delis and traditional New York pizzerias using our Downtown Dining Pass. Are you a vegetarian? Do you have food allergies? Special diets are not a problem.

Your Health + Safety are our Primary Concern

Our RCs are committed to the support and supervision of Summer Discovery students. Daily sign-ins and room checks are mandated for your safety. You are free to walk around the Financial District (our ‘home area’) in small groups. If you have a question, RCs are on duty to help.

Not feeling well? Summer Discovery staff make all medical appointments, accompany students to medical facilities, obtain prescription medications, and notify parents after medical visits. Appointments are made with Medhattan Immediate Medical Care or New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.

So many ways to play at Pace University

New York City is a great “walking city.” You’ll also find that Pace University features extraordinary athletic and recreational facilities, and you have access to them all. Either way, it will be easy to stay fit in New York City this summer.

There are Many Ways to be Active This Summer

  • Do it your way. Organize pick-up games or work out at the gym.
  • Join a tournament. We coordinate games of basketball, soccer, frisbee, and other sports.

Discover everything New York City

We live on the border of Tribeca and the financial district, known for its blossoming restaurant scene, historic cobblestone streets, and iconic New York structures like the Stock Exchange and City Hall. Stores like Urban Outfitters, Shake Shack, and CVS are just a short walk away. With hundreds of restaurants and cafés and direct access to 10 subway lines, everything is convenient. Come see why our students love this neighborhood.

From Tribeca and the financial district, the entire city is within our reach. New York City is famous for awesome concerts, theater, museums, neighborhoods, and major league sports.
