As a leading global city, New York hosts many of the world’s innovative, cutting edge companies and supports the largest economy of any city. The result – practically any career is possible in New York. Past NYC interns have coordinated a fashion show, learned about financial markets and securities, critiqued scripts for plays and movies, listened to new and up-and-coming bands, examined x-rays at a veterinary hospital, and so much more. When the work day comes to an end, anything is possible in “The City That Never Sleeps.”
Pace University’s lower Manhattan campus is an intellectual and cultural hub on the border of Tribeca and the financial district, between South Street Seaport, Wall Street, and Broadway. This prime location is situated across the street from the newly completed Fulton Center, a transit center and major retail complex connecting 10 subway lines, making it extremely convenient to navigate the city. Craving dim sum from Chinatown, pizza from Little Italy, or a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge? Easy. You’ll never have the same experience twice.
Discovery interns live in 182 Broadway, the brand new, fully air-conditioned Pace University residence hall in the heart of the financial district. 182 Broadway offers triple rooms (and very limited doubles) with in-room bathrooms and high-speed internet. In-house facilities include a fitness center, student lounge, game room, screening room, kitchen, and free laundry facilities. Interns are housed in the same residence and participate in most evening and weekend activities with students participating in Summer Discovery at Pace NYC.
Interns enjoy 2 meals daily during the week, and 1 on weekends. Explore a variety of off campus restaurants, cafés, delis and traditional New York pizzerias using our Downtown Dining Pass. Interns have the opportunity to purchase lunch on their own in a variety of eateries around their workplace.
