The Management & Technology Summer Institute

Run by the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology in partnership with Penn Engineering and the Wharton School, M&TSI features classes taught by leading Penn faculty and successful entrepreneurs, an intensive team prototyping project, and other activities designed to give students the opportunity to learn about the principles and practice of technological innovation. Courses are taught by full-time Wharton and Penn Engineering faculty, and students explore Penn's business and engineering offerings, hearing guest lectures from prominent faculty recognized as leaders in their field.

Students will earn college credit while developing high-tech ventures and receiving feedback from Penn faculty and seasoned entrepreneurs. Connections with M&T Program and Penn Alumni, as well as industry leaders at firms like Google and Morgan Stanley, help students establish a network that extends beyond the classroom.

  • Amy Zhou"Through M&TSI, I realized that business and technology are not separate entities— Rather, they fuse into a powerful propellor for change in our society today. I am grateful for the tight-knit community that shaped my experience; M&TSI provided me with both significant intellectual insights and a community that I want to stay connected with for years to come.”Amy Zhou
  • Jaume Pujadas"My biggest takeaway from M&TSI is that I now have a greater understanding of how to transform an idea I have for a solution into a viable business venture that is capable of solving problems on a much broader scale. The challenges of the program served as excellent motivators that pushed me to put forward my best efforts."Jaume Pujadas
  • Elizabeth Stone"M&TSI allowed me to listen and learn from world-renowned professors and industry experts—a privilege few get to enjoy. I value the RTA mentorship and friendships I was able to form throughout my experience most. Collaborating with such an accomplished and intellectually curious group of high schoolers encouraged me to learn from my peers while forming lifelong connections."Elizabeth Stone
