The London International Business Academy is a unique hands-on opportunity to learn how businesses operate in a global environment. During this 3 week academy, investigate fundamental business concepts like marketing and financial management with an emphasis on international business and entrepreneurship.
Taught and sponsored by INTO City University London, classes mirror those taken by first year business school students. In the morning, discuss what it takes to build, manage, and operate an international business. In the afternoon, expand your knowledge through case studies, guest speakers, and site visits around London.
Complete your London International Business Academy experience by putting your new knowledge to the test. Divide into teams to research, market, and sell a product in the famous Spitalfields Market. Each group will present their marketing plan and results to the program professor and fellow students.
The curriculum focuses on three main topics:
Product Development and Marketing
International Business Concepts
Beyond the classroom
Expand your knowledge and see international businesses in action. Visit local businesses, museums, and famous sites in London.
You may choose to take the London International Business Academy for 3 college credits. Assignments are exactly the same whether you take the program for credit or not for credit. There is an additional fee of $395 to receive credit and the decision must be made by June 1.
Credit is conferred by Marist College upon successful completion of the program (a grade of C+ or better). Official transcripts are available from Marist College upon request. Credits are transferable to most colleges and universities in the United States.
