It’s never too early to start investing in your financial future! The sooner you learn the power of compounded interest, the better off you'll be. Which is better - a bull market or a bear market? What’s the difference between the NYSE and the NASDAQ? How do you read a prospectus?  Throughout this course, students will be introduced to the basics of investing, saving, credit, interest rates, stocks and bonds. We will also help students learn how to navigate the stock market, including when to buy, when to sell, and how to make your money work for you. Examine models that compare investment goals if you start investing as soon as you turn 18 versus waiting until you are older - the difference is huge! Students will put together a mini-investment portfolio and hopefully watch it grow! By taking this class, students will learn valuable skills that will build their confidence in their ability to navigate the world of investing and control their financial future.
