Digital business is the creation of new business designs by blurring the physical and digital world. It focuses on how technology allows companies to create experiences that differentiate and give them a competitive edge over their peers. Digital business is important for all business leaders to understand. In this Academy, students will learn the importance of digital business through the following two courses:

Digital Business Models:  Learn about different digital business models and how clear communication is essential in order to sustain these businesses. Examine business plans and develop spreadsheets to analyze different formats of digital content in this case-based course. Students will have the opportunity to practice creating content in visual and textual formats.  Students are required to bring a laptop with word-processing and spreadsheet capabilities.

Digital Marketing: Almost all advertising is digital today and you need to understand how it all works, both as a marketer and as a consumer.  In this course, you will learn about SEO, SEM, online ads, and social media marketing; and understand how to position a business online, how to attract customers, and how to get them to take action and buy a product or service.  You will also get hands on experience writing creative briefs and advertising copy.
