Who Should Take This Course? Students who are serious about considering a career in acting.

Highlights Created and taught by Casting Director Wendy Kurtzman, this course was developed to give you all the tools you need to succeed for the transition into a BFA/BA program and ultimately into an acting career. Wendy has worked with and helped launch many actors including notables such as Sandra Bullock and Reese Witherspoon. Her casting career includes Movies for Television, limited series and films including the blockbuster “Independence Day.” Wendy uses her industry connections and expertise to bring a rich and dynamic program to Summer Discovery. Courses & Academies This course is one of our Academies. Academies meet 4 or 5 times a week, both morning and afternoon, with a lunch break. Most Academies have homework, papers, presentations, and tests that are graded. Students are typically provided a Pass/No Pass grade. Students receive a Certificate of Completion from the university at the end of the program.
