    • Summer Enrichment – Choose one morning and one afternoon course offered at the same campus to find out where your true passions lie.
    • Academies – Choose a subject-focused Academy, like Sports Business, Screenwriting and more to spend both academic periods diving deep into that topic.
    • Career Accelerators – Choose between profession-focused Career Accelerators in Medicine or Engineering to spend your whole academic day getting hands-on experience in that field.

This class is an introduction to law and public speaking. In this class you will learn about the process of a trial including the importance of evidence, witness statements, and arguments. Students will read and analyze a specific court case, perform and mock trials, argue cases, and come to a verdict. Topics will cover criminal law, legal process, rights and responsibilities and the justice process.

Who Should Take This Course? This course is suitable for middle school students who want to explore the U.S. legal system and trial law.
Highlights Students will be able to identify and define terminology and concepts essential to the U.S. legal system. Students will be able to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to find unique approaches based on limited evidence. Students will be able to demonstrate communication skills as they learn the different roles of a court room.
