Crime Scene Investigation: Forensics

Successful CSI utilizes a step-by-step process in the discovery, preservation, and collection of physical evidence. In this course, you will examine the techniques professionals use to collect and preserve evidence from crime scenes. Learn about crime scene management; diagramming and sketching; photography; fingerprint, trace, physiological and firearms evidence; arson and explosives; and safety issues.
Who Should Take This Course? This course is for students who have a strong interest in solving crime mysteries or want to pursue a career in forensics.
Highlights Every investigation and crime scene is different so you will never have a dull day. You could be visiting a crime scene and taking photographs one day, while the next you could be in the lab exploring links between suspects and the criminal activity.
Courses & Academies This class is one of our Michigan courses. Courses are single classes that are taken in the morning or afternoon. Students who take our courses select two courses to take during each session. Students will select a morning and afternoon course. Students will receive a certificate of completion from Summer Discovery.
