Forensics

Learn how forensic science is used to solve crimes. Understand core scientific principles and explore major areas in the field, with emphasis DNA and fingerprinting. In this hands-on laboratory class, you will learn the technology, equipment, and skills used to analyze physical evidence and how to interpret this evidence. Taught by Texas crime lab forensic scientists.
Who Should Take This Course? This course is for students who have a strong interest in solving crime mysteries or want to pursue a career in forensics.

Courses & Academies This class is one of our UT Austin courses. Courses are single classes that are taken in the morning or afternoon. Students who take our courses select two courses to take during the session. Students will select a morning and afternoon course. Students will receive a certificate of completion from the University of Texas at Austin.
