Campus Life & Activities

Discover an amazing campus at Emerson College, and learn to be independent with the help of our incredible staff. Famous for its incredible library, sound-treated television studios, editing suites, post-production labs, sound stage, film screening room, the Cutler Majestic theatre and the newly renovated Paramount Mainstage, Emerson is an incredible place to learn.

Staying cool in Piano Row Residence Hall at Emerson

Our home on campus is the Piano Row Residence Hall, right on Boston Common. You will be a part of a dynamic community of students and staff who live together in one residence hall.

Whether you’re watching a movie or working on a group project, it’s great to live with your friends. And if you have any questions, your Resident Counselor (RC) lives down the hall and is there for you 24/7.

Here's Our Set-Up:

  • Live in a double room in a suite of 6-8 people with in-room bathroom.
  • Every air conditioned room includes a bed, study desk, closet, and Wifi.
  • Dining hall, lounges, laundry facilities, and the Summer Discovery office are all in our residence hall.
  • Live a short walk from academic buildings and the Emerson College Fitness Center. Did we mention that Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks are right next door?

Delicious All-You-Can-Eat Dining On Campus

Enjoy two meals every weekday and one on weekends, while on campus. Students enjoy a variety of dining options in Boston. Are you a vegetarian? Do you have food allergies? Special diets are not a problem.

Your Health + Safety are our Primary Concern

Our RCs are committed to the support and supervision of Summer Discovery students. Daily sign-ins and room checks are mandated for your safety. You are free to walk around campus and downtown Boston (our ‘home area’) in small groups. If you have a question, RCs are on duty to help.

Not feeling well? Summer Discovery staff make all medical appointments, accompany students to medical facilities, obtain prescription medications, and notify parents after medical visits. Appointments are made with Urgent Care at Tufts Medical Center or the Children’s Hospital of Boston.
