Why Santa Cruz is a Residence Hall - 6/27/19

From spontaneous trips to target to craft time; group study session to pizza and cards, you can feel a sense of community building here. So many people in one space yet we all get a long and have fun doing it. We are not here to student, sleep, repeat. But instead explore. Explore our curriculums. Explore campus. Explore the vast world around us. And to explore the people in it. Today we continued building friendships in a myriad of on campus activities.

After a day of getting to know each other better, we are getting ready for a trip to the roller rink tomorrow after classes. Don't forget, we will be playing the Women's World Cup in the Formal Lounge at noon, as we will continue to do for the remainder of the tournament. This weekend, get your first taste of State Street and all of the great food and fun shops it has to offer. Finally, lace up your sneakers: our basketball tournament is coming up on Monday! I see everyone out there practicing in preparation.

Don't forget about the optional trip to LA in a couple weekends! Goleta is gorgeous, but sometimes it's nice to get away for a day! Your choice to visit Universal Studio or Six Flags Magic Mountain. No matter your decision, it's going to be another great day!
