Summer Discovery (SD) and Discovery Internship (DI) students have had an endless amount of fun on their first week. Monday was the first day of internships, so they were sure to dress to impress. While our SD students started a two week course that lead them to two educational and interactive trips to the United Nations and the One World Trade Center.
Both groups of students are practicing the importance of being on time, being responsible, getting their work done, and still managing to have fun; which are all essential components to creating a well balanced schedule. Between dessert at Milk Bar and DŌ, Cookie Dough Confections, along with today's visit to Central Park, the Fulton Street Fair, and Pier 17 for the firework celebration for Independence Day, our students have had plenty of time to get to know one another. This week was an easy start to making friends that are sure to last a lifetime. We will check back with you after the exciting weekend we have planned.
