Week One Almost Done

We've had a great first week here at the Georgetown Summer Discovery Program. Our pre-college students have been having a blast on and off campus as they are gaining a real-life college experience.

We kicked off this week with orientation, classes, and the meeting of their wonderful RC's who are here to guide them through their experience. Our students were able to mix and mingle with celebrities at the Madame Taussaud's Wax Museum, explored the momentous Washington Monument, US Capitol, The National Harbor, etc.

Today, the students participated in our illustrious Casino Night. Each student was given poker chips to gamble with to see who could gain the most poker chips in exchange for tickets to be entered in a drawing for a price.

We have so much more in store for our students in the upcoming week. Tomorrow, we will be going to Six Flags and the Smithsonian Complex. We invite you to visit this blog every day to view photos and the daily schedule for the upcoming days.
