We’ve had a great week at Penn Summer Discovery! Our Pre-College students have completed orientation and started their classes. They have settled into their home for the summer and spent time with their RC groups.
Yesterday, we celebrated the Fourth of July, Summer Discovery Style! We began with a brunch catered by the University of Penn dining services and lawn games outside our dorm. The students competed in corn hole toss, SpikeBall, and KanJam! Then, the students traveled to Dave and Buster’s for an afternoon filled with food, games, and prizes! The students had a blast competing against each other and racking up tickets to cash in for exciting prizes! After returning to the dorm, the students were able to watch the fireworks over the Philadelphia skyline from our very own rooftop lounge.
Today, the students participated in RC Group Bonding Activities. Each RC group decided on an activity around campus and spent time getting to know each other, their RC, and their new home.
We have much to look forward to this week. This weekend, we also plan on continuing our adventures with a trip to Washington D.C. with our Pre-College students. Our Academy, Prep, and Law students are arriving Sunday and we are thrilled to welcome over 500 students to our Penn Summer Discovery family! With even more activities to come and more students to meet, here’s to another memorable week in Philadelphia!
