Hello parents,
Our global leadership and internship students have been busy unpacking, getting settled into their dorms and doing their official orientation. Today, internship students took dry run practices taking the subway to their internships to get ready for the big day ahead of them. Tomorrow is the first day of Discovery Internships and students are excited to get to work! They took copious notes on tips and tricks from their internship coordinator, Ali, in order to be as well prepared as possible for their first day on the job. They even did fashion shows for their RCs so they dress to impress. Our Global Leadership class is gearing up to start tomorrow as well. After orientation all of the students had a day of exploring our home area- from shopping at Target, to getting a bite to eat at Hudson Eats with beautiful views of the water. The bonding that has been going on is a refreshing start to the amazing summer that we have ahead. After a day of exploring the city, we stopped by Venieros in the East Village, a patisserie celebrating 125 years in NYC for a refreshing scoop of gelato, eclairs and cannolis. It feels as if we have been here for a week and yet it has only been one full day! The week ahead will be an adventure - wish them luck!
