It's our final day here at Penn Summer Discovery. As our Pre-College students depart from campus, the students and staff have been looking back on the amazing memories we've had this past summer.
The students have been able to explore Philadelphia and all the amazing sights and events. They have been able to see iconic sights, such as the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and a Philadelphia Bus Tour. The students have also been able to visit many of the museums in Philadelphia, including the Franklin Institute, Eastern State Penitentiary, the Mutter Museum, and the Philadelphia Art Museum, home of the famous Rocky Steps!
Our weekend trips have been a crowd favorite from the start of the summer. From exploring the National Mall in Washington D.C., sampling sweet treats and thrilling rides at Hershey Park, soaking up the sun at the beach, and shopping in New York City and the King of Prussia Mall, the students have been able to explore not only Philadelphia, but the surrounding area as well.
Last, but certainly not least, we've had plenty of activities in our home away from home, Harnwell College House. The students have been able to participate in video game tournaments, trivia nights, spa nights, silent disco, and plenty of study breaks fueled by local food vendors.
While it is always sad to see our students go, we wish them all the best in their future endeavors and know that they will be successful in anything they choose to do. It's been an absolutely fantastic summer and we've enjoyed every moment with our students.
Until next summer, we wish everyone safe travels home, an incredible year, and want to extend a thank you to everyone who was a part of our 2019 Penn Summer Discovery family.
