Hi Friends and Family!
Another week has passed of amazing classes and field trips! The kids have already made lifelong friendships and connections. This last week the students partook in building drones from the 3D printer, learning how to insert IV's, and learning to design their own outfits! The students are doing great in their classes and the skills they are gaining will be helpful for their college careers!
As for actitivies the students have been busy too! Friday we all took a day trip to the neighboring city of San Antonio! Students went to Six Flags for an action packed day of rollercoasters and waterslides. The rest of the students went to the Alamo Riverwalk and learned about its rich history! By the end of the day we all were tired enough to sleep on the bus!
On Saturday students went to either Barton Springs, the local natural spring pool, The Domain, a beautiful outdoor mall, or an Austin Duck Tour that went around the city and ends in the lake!
On Sunday students had the opportunity to hike up Mount Bonnel, a landmark for tourists since the 1800's, or bust a move rollerskating, or filling their sweet tooth at Voodoo Donuts!
As we gear up for classses tomorrow, it is with a heavy heart that we come upon our last week together at UT Austin! However, we know it will be a week full of fun and memories!
