Happy Seven Eleven Day to you all Summer Discovery at Georgetown Parents and Students!
Today was a spectacular day here at Summer Discovery Georgetown! The Global Leadership class kicked today off by visiting the World Bank! The World Bank is an international financial institution that provides loans to countries of the world for capital projects. These students were able to learn outside of the classroom, in a more hands-on environment. By the looks of it, students really enjoyed The World Bank because they were able to actually see exactly what they have been learning in class. As far as the other classes, they were operated as normal as students learned inside of the classroom.
The activities for today were also very exciting! The activities goes as follows: George Washington University, Mount Vernon, African American Museum, and Bowling. These activities provided the students with a wide range of choices to choose from. Some students took advantage of these activities while others opted out to go to M Street or do things on their own around campus. Whether the students went to activities or stayed on campus, all of the students were actively engaged in what they wanted to do and were all happy.
Without further adieu, here's The Hoya Herald Daily for July 11th.
