We are approaching our last weekend here at Penn Summer Discovery! On Monday, the staff welcomed a group of about one hundred Penn Prep students during our last arrival day of the summer. The students settled into Rodin College House and participated in an orientation led by our amazing directors and administrative team! After orientation, the Penn Prep and Pre-College Students were greeted with an ice cream social and milk and cookies during sign in.
Over the next few days, the students were able to take part in multiple activities including a Federal Donuts Study Break, a trip to a local cheesesteak shop, a Philadelphia Bus Tour, laser tag, and even a pop up smoothie bar in the dorm! Tonight, the students have the opportunity to see movies at a local movie theater, participate in a spa night in the dorm, and see a local production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.
This weekend, the students will be able to participate in some exciting excursions. On Saturday, the staff will accompany the students to Hershey Park for some chocolate treats and exciting rides! Then, on Sunday, the students have a choice between visiting the King of Prussia Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in the country, and a trip to New York City! With plenty to look forward to in the following week, we are making every second of the summer count!
