Back to List

The Cambridge Underground July 18, 2019

Today was the last day for afternoon classes.  It is hard to believe that two weeks have passed by so quickly!

This afternoon, we had a group of students who went kayaking down the Cam River, while another group of students took advantage of the warm weather and went swimming at the Jesus Green Pool.  Our last excursion today was a visit to Anglesey Abbey, a country house  in the village of Lode, 5 ¹⁄₂ miles northeast of Cambridge.

Tomorrow will be our last classes of the session.  In the afternoon, all of the students will go to the Cambridge Student Union to participate in the debate that is the culmination of the Debate Class's work.  Then in the evening, students will be having the Final Night Formal Dinner, followed by the end-of-the-program Talent Show.  There will be tears as we say goodbye to some of our friends who are heading back home on Friday!
