Welcome back to the blog for the second session of Summer Discovery here at the University of San Diego! For those of you who are returning following the first session, we are so glad to have you with us again. And for those of you who are joining us for Session 3.2 of the program, we are thrilled to have you.
This weekend our 6-week students, had a Movie Night on Friday. Yesterday, our students had a Beach Day at Coronado Beach and a Bonfire at La Jolla Shores. Today our students got to take a Harbor Cruise around San Diego. While our 6-week students explored the local San Diego area, our 3.1 LA Extension students explored the local Los Angeles area by visiting Santa Monica Pier, UCLA, Westwood Village and much more!
Today, we received most of our new coming students for our 3.2 Session. We had our first Resident Counselor (RC) group meetings tonight where we started to get to know our new friends and went over what to expect out of this amazing summer experience. Tomorrow, we will have our Program Orientation, tours of our local area and even more chance to start adjusting to life on campus. Tuesday starts classes and we’ll begin our daily schedule of classes and activities. After months of waiting, we are thrilled to have everyone here on campus and we know that it’s going to be the best summer ever!
We invite you to visit The Daily: USD every day to view photos of life on campus and the daily schedule for the upcoming days. Every Monday and Thursday, we’ll also post blog updates of everything that has been going on during the week. We look forward to sharing pictures and more blog postings during our time together, and we encourage you to continue checking in to keep up with our adventures!
