We are already approaching our second weekend here at Summer Discovery at the University of San Diego! It’s hard to believe that students have called the Manchester Village Apartments home for two weeks now. Over the past four days, we have held a variety of activities include a trip to In-N-Out Burger, Liberty Station and to Little Italy.
On Monday after class, we hosted a viewing party of the Summer Olympics on campus. After, we gave students the option to take trams from campus to town, where they were able to go to both In-N-Out Burger and Target. Once they came back to campus students were able to end the night with a fun game of trivia.
On Tuesday, students had another exciting day of class. After class, students were able to travel to Liberty Station and go shopping or grab a bite to eat. For students who preferred to stay on campus, there was still much to do. Students who remained on campus had the option to Tie-Dye a piece of clothing and play a game of Frisbee. After dinner, students had the option to participate in Cards for Humanity, write letters home or take a dance class!
On Wednesday, students had a great day of class. After class, students had the option to go explore Little Italy or play a game of Frisbee on campus. After dinner, students were able to participate in our USD book club, play a game of Sardines, or get a Zumba workout in.
Today we are taking most of our students to Coronado after a long day of class. Students will have the option to enjoy the beach, go shopping at local boutiques or grab a bite to eat. When we return to campus, we will be hosting a Ping Pong Tournament, Baking Lessons, Origami Lessons, and a Just Dance Party. The fun doesn't stop here, over the weekend students will be able to go to La Jolla Shores, the Padres Game, and have a beach day. We are very excited for the weekend to come, and we look forward to keeping you updated with more news and pictures! Stay tuned!
