Summer Discovery at University of San Diego is gearing up for an amazing weekend after one more productive day of classes! This week our students had the opportunity to interact with each another and their professors both in and outside of the classroom. Every day after classes, students had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of fun activities.
On Monday, the student's day started out with orientation and RC group meetings. It was then followed by a campus scavenger hunt and a campus tour, so that students can find their classes for their time at USD. After dinner, students had the option to go to Target to get anything they forgot to bring or to participate in trivia.
Tuesday was the first day of classes and both our students and instructors were excited to get started with their courses. Just take a look at the excitement of our Business of Entertainment, Media, & Sports Academy instructor Felisa Israel and her business partner Nathan Leonard! After class wrapped up, students got to check out the local neighborhood, Old Town, to go shopping and experience the local culture. Once back on campus, students had the option to go watch the sunset, participate in yoga, win some snacks at snack bingo, or get their creative juices flowing through taking a dance class.
After another productive day of class on Wednesday, students got on busses and headed to the local Seaport Village and even got the chance to have dinner at a local restaurant. Once back on campus, students had the option to go for a jog around are gorgeous campus, participate in our book club or get a quick workout in with late night Zumba.
Some activities coming up this weekend are a trip to La Jolla Cove, Annie's Canyon Hike, and Del Mar Farmers Market. Check in with us on Monday to see what we did!
