It’s hard to believe we are almost done with our third week here at University of San Diego! Throughout the week our students have worked countless hours preparing for final presentations and completing final projects. Outside of the classroom, our students have had many opportunities to enjoy their last week here. On Monday, students had the opportunity to create and test paper planes, have a relaxing cup of tea at Tea Time, travel to the UTC Mall, and end the night by watching fireworks on campus.
On Tuesday, students had the opportunity to explore the local area on a Nature Walk, learn how to play Chess, participate in a friendly game of Basketball, watch the sunset at Ocean Beach, view a spectacular fireworks display on campus, or practice their dance skills at a Dance Class.
On Wednesday, students headed to Fashion Valley Mall and Old Town. After returning to campus students had the option to participate in a Conflict Resolution Workshop, get ready for college life with a College 101 Panel, play a game of Glow in the Dark Bingo, participate in book club or get a late night Zumba workout.
Today is our last night on campus with our 3.1 students. We will be spending our final night together with an End of Program Celebration and a trip to Dave and Busters. This is where students and staff will get together and celebrate the fun we had on campus these past few weeks and students will get to spend their final moments celebrating friendships that will last a lifetime!
As we head into our final night together, it’s hard to believe that our 3.1 students will be heading home and parting ways. Our 6-week students will get to have a fun weekend with some exciting activities and our 3.1 LA Extension group will head to Los Angeles, as we prepare our campus for the arrival of our 3.2 students. We look forward to our final night with our 3.1 students and are excited to welcome back our 6 week and 3.2 students. As always, thank you for reading and stay tuned for one special blog to come for our 3.1 students!
