This weekend was full of amazing once in a lifetime experiences for many Pace Summer Discovery students. To kick off the early weekend, Summer Discovery students headed down to the East River where they celebrated the fourth of July with fireworks and gorgeous views. The photos here were great! After some rest, many of the students traveled to China Town or Little Italy to get a taste of authentic foreign cuisine. A few brave students then ended the evening with a visit to the cities Cat Cafe. Here, students were not only able to order some cappuccinos, but they were also able to play with adorable kittens while waiting for their drinks. It was a new and crazy experience, perfect for all the animal lovers out there! The next day was great for all those looking to stretch their legs. On Friday everyone headed up to Chelsea Piers, an indoor recreational space, where students could play soccer, basketball, batting cages, or rock climb. After this eventful evening, students were able to sleep in and when they woke up the next day, headed to explore two New York staples: the Statue of Liberty and the Bronx zoo. The night was ended with a hip hop improv show at The Pit on the Lower East Side. Finally as the weekend came to an end, students went to the Mets game and visited Smorgasbord to taste some of the craziest cuisine New York has to offer! Finally, students were able to relax and unwind as they watched new releases like Ant Man. It was an exhausting but memorable weekend!
