It’s hard to believe we are almost done with our second week here in Michigan! Throughout the week our students have worked countless hours preparing for presentations, studying for final exams, and completing projects. Outside of the classroom, our students have had many opportunities to enjoy their last full week here. On Monday, after class students had the opportunity to go on a tour of the Law Quad or go to the local YMCA. Up next was dinner and students had the option to Zingerman’s or Pizza House or go to dinner on their own. Finally, students were able to wrap up their night with a cold treat at Michigan Creamery, a Bachelorette viewing party or play a game of Bingo.
On Tuesday, students had another great day of class. After class, students were able to go to the YMCA or travel to Sportway, so that they can ride Go Karts or play Mini Golf. After dinner, students had the option to go play basketball at a local court in Kerrytown, participate in a discussion about life on a college campus, or take dance lessons.
On Wednesday after class, students had a lot of activities to choose from. Students had the option to show their artistic skills and paint ceramics, go to the Kelsey Archeology Museum, or burn off some energy by going to the YMCA. For dinner, students had the option to have dinner on their own or have dinner in West Liberty as a group. After dinner, students were able to go on an Arboretum Walk or play kickball. We ended our night with a trip to Blank Slate Ice Cream for a sweet treat.
Today we will continue our busy week with several activities to choose from. This afternoon students will get the option to go Berry Picking or to the YMCA. For dinner, students can go on their own or go with the larger group for dinner on Main Street. After dinner, students can travel to Pinball Pete’s, visit an Art Museum, or participate in our Talent Show. Over the weekend we will continue our fun with some of the following activities: Whirly Ball, Movie Night, and a trip to Independence Lake. Be sure to check back on Monday to see how our final weekend went!
