After a great first weekend, students were excited to head to their first day of class on Monday morning. Summer Discovery’s Program Orientation was held on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. This was where Administration and Resident Counselors went into further detail on what the students can expect this summer. On Saturday evening, students had a scavenger hunt and ended the day with an ice cream treat.
Sunday kicked off with students 2 exciting trip options for students to choose from. They had the opportunity to go explore The Toledo Zoo or enjoy a summer day of fun at Sports Way. The night ended with all Summer Discovery students gathering for a relaxing night of games, where students had the chance to meet and socialize with every student in the program, resulting in new friendships and connections being made!
Coming up for this week, we will be offering students the opportunity to go get dinner at Michigan's most famous deli - Zingerman's, berry picking, canoeing, hiking, and ice cream at Blank Slate Creamery or at Michigan Creamery. We are looking forward to diving into classes this week. Please keep checking in for more pictures and updates to come, and don't forget to come back on Thursday to hear all about our fun!
