After a great weekend, students returned to their daily classes on Monday morning for their final two days of class. Saturday kicked off with a trip to Ann Arbor's Farmer's Market. After that, students had the option to take a walk to the Big House and have some doughnuts or take a trip to the local YMCA. We then offered students the option to go to Target. The night ended with an all group trip to the movies. On Sunday, we took students to the Great Lakes Crossing Outlets. Students were able to shop at a wide variety of stores and spend some with their new friends. We then watched the Euro Cup Finals, where Italy beat England in a very close game! Finally, we ended the night with a relaxing evening playing a variety of different board games and other activities on campus.
This week students will wrap up their final days of class. They will be focusing on finishing their final projects, preparing presentations, and studying for final exams. Although our students will be working hard, both inside and outside of the classroom, we will still be offering some fun, final activities for our students. Today, students will get to go berry picking, have dinner at Zingerman's, and have a sweet treat at Kilwin's Fudge and Ice Cream. For our final night, we have planned a program celebration. This is where students and staff will get together and celebrate the fun we had on campus these past few weeks and students will get to spend their final moments celebrating friendships that will last a lifetime!
As we head into our final nights together, it’s hard to believe that our students will be heading home and parting ways. We look forward to our final nights with our students. As always, thank you for reading and stay tuned for one special blog to come for our students!
