It’s hard to believe we are almost done with our third week here at Haverford College! Throughout the week our students have worked countless hours preparing for presentations and completing projects. Outside of the classroom, our students have had many opportunities to enjoy their last week here.
On Monday, students were able to enjoy themselves after class by joining in on a game of Ultimate Frisbee or showing off their creative side through Painting. After dinner, we hosted a game of Soccer and Boot Camp. We then hosted a De-Stress Fest, where students were able to de-stress from the final week of class and learn skills to deal with stressful situations. We ended the night with a fun game of Trivia!
On Tuesday, we had a jam-packed afternoon full of activities. Our activities included a CrossFit Class, Temporary Tattoos, Painting, and a trip to Suburban Square for some shopping and local restaurants. After dinner, students were able to enjoy Sand Art, a fun game of Kickball and a Chess Tournament.
On Wednesday, we enjoy our afternoon with a refreshing activity with Water Balloons and a sweet treat through Cookie Decorating. After dinner, we had a DJ guest speaker join us and share their experiences with our students. We also hosted another Boot Camp with one of our local trainers, Movie Night, and Karaoke.
Today after class, we will host an Embroidery lesson and host an Anti-Bullying Class for our students. After dinner, we will have a CrossFit training session, trivia, and an NBA 2k Tournament. Tomorrow will be our final day at Haverford College. We will be having Boot Camp, Lanyard Stitching, a Ping-Pong Tournament, and our final night of activities. Our large final night activity will be a Silent Disco and Photo Booth.
As we head into our final days together, it’s hard to believe that all of us will be heading home and parting ways. We will certainly make the most of our remaining time together here at Summer Discovery! As always, thank you for reading and stay tuned for one final blog to come. The Daily: Haverford College
