After a great weekend, students returned to their daily classes on Monday morning. Students started Saturday with class, but once class was over our staff had a fun weekend planned for our students. Students had the opportunity to participate in Relay Races and get Henna Tattoos in the afternoon. After dinner, we spent the night decorating cupcakes, singing Karaoke, and playing Bingo. On Sunday we took our students off campus to Suburban Square, where they were able to go shopping, explore local restaurants and walk through town. On campus, we watched the Euro Cup Finals, where Italy beat England in a very close game. We then hosted a Carnival on campus for our students, where students had a blast and some friendly competition! We then ended our night with Spa Night, a Pick-Up Soccer Game, and a viewing of the NBA Finals.
We checked in with our Executive Director, Miranda, to see how this weekend went and here’s what she had to say.
This weekend was a lot of fun! Our students had a great time exploring Suburban Square on Sunday morning. They enjoyed shopping and fun restaurants, before a nice walk through town back to campus. Sunday evening was jam packed with our Carnival, the Euro Cup, and the NBA Finals, Spa Night, and lots of snacks!
Coming up for this week, we will be offering students Spike ball, Pop Culture Trivia, Human Foosball, Suburban Square, Ultimate Werewolf, a guest speaker, and much, much more!
