After a great weekend, students returned to their final week of daily classes on Monday morning. After class on Friday, we hosted a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament for our students, where we offered t-shirts as prizes! We then hosted a Cookie Decorating Social and trip to Starbucks for those who wanted to enjoy a sweet treat. After dinner, we took all our students to the movies for a fun Movie Night.
On Saturday, we enjoyed an all-group trip to Los Angeles for a day out to explore. Students enjoyed getting to explore the local area through shopping and exploring local restaurants. Finally, we wrapped up our weekend for a trip to Huntington Beach. Students were able to enjoy a nice beach day before wrapping up their final week of classes.
We checked in with Campus Specialist, Justin Alexander, to hear what he had to say about Summer Discovery at Concordia University so far. Here’s what he had to say:
I am really enjoying my time on campus. Our students are fantastic! I love having them stop by the office to tell us about their day or what their favorite activities are. I am sad that we only have a few days left!
Today students will have the opportunity to participate in a friendly Kickball game, take a trip to Starbucks, or Paint a Rock with Positivity. Later, students will be able to play Basketball at one of our indoor basketball courts. Finally, we will end the night with a trip to Boomers Park for some fun activities with friends.
Coming up for this week, we have Tie Dye, Galaxy Bowling, Regional Park Walk, Disc Golf, a Silent Disco, and much more. Please keep checking in for more pictures and updates to come, and don’t forget to follow our blog to hear all about our fun!
