Greetings Summer Scholars, Friends and Families! A riddle filled scavenger hunt sent our students far and wide across campus in search of locations that led them closer and closer to an epic grand prize! Tasked with maneuvering through these mental hurdles, they got to know the campus as well as jumpstart their critical thinking skills, taking photographs of each location and even a few selfies along the way. We closed out the day by inviting the students to sing their hearts out in our karaoke event, rewarding each participant with freshly delivered pizza.
Tomorrow, July 4th, we have the Gaucho Games! A friendly competition between the students that involves six individual events: Team Tic Tac Toe, a Hoop Relay, Rock Paper Scissors, a Balloon Molecule Obstacle Course, Foxtail Tag, and Frozen. But of course what would the 4th be without fireworks? The entire program is going to Girsh Park in Goleta to attend a fireworks festival to spend the holiday in true American fashion.
