Hello everyone!
Us here at Summer Discovery are winding down from a rather relaxing weekend. As many of you may have heard, New York was under a heat advisory this weekend. We were careful to stay indoors throughout the day, drink plenty of water and keep the fun activities going each afternoon.
We kick started Friday off with a fun trip to Bowlmor for some friendly rounds of bowling! Each of us teamed up for an exciting game and followed through with arcade games and pizza. Saying that Saturday was hot would be an understatement; some of us stayed indoors playing board games and staying cool, while others choose a different approach; Ice cream at Smorgasburg! It was hot, but those kombucha popsicles where just what we needed. Later that night, we headed over to The PIT for an improv show, where we made sure we would be the stars of the show. Mo, our campus director then surprised us with an ice cream sign-in night! Many of us ended the night by headed to our floors to play more games, listening to good music and tried new face masks! Sunday was a perfect end to a hot weekend, we ended it with an all group trip to see The Lion King.
As we end another week here in New York, we prepare ourselves to start our last week here at our internships. We learned a lot, met plenty of people, and most importantly, learned to implement our learnings to the real world. We look forward to seeing you all in just one short week; but in the meantime, us here in New York are headed to our dorms to finish our journal entries that are due tonight and wrap up the week with our RC meetings.
See you soon!
