This week tutors have taken their students out of the classrooms to the gardens, museums, a teaching tour through the quaint town of Ely, a Library, businesses, and a homeless shelter. Our entrepreneur students battled out competition during a class version of the Shark Tank. Students team together to defend and persuade the judges to their invention and business.
Approaching our last full weekend together, Friday will kick us off to a group game of Krashball in the Churchill fields. Our students are more than ready to throw a giant plastic ball over their bodies and begin slamming into one another. Cameras will be ready!! Then our students and resident counselors will relax for a movie night to watch Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again and Jurassic World 2: Fallen Kingdom.
Students have made their choices for which day trip interests them the most. For Saturday, the choices were London or Oxford, and on Sunday students could choose Alton Towers Amusement Park or staying in town at Cambridge. Harry Potter filming scavenger hunt for both London and Oxford, amiright?! Want souvenirs? This will be the chance! Parents, siblings, family and friends, this is your chance to ask your Summer Discovery student!
We’ll be seeing you around! Sunday night will be the next blog entry, but as always you can check out our daily Cambridge Underground Newsletter and photo gallery!
