Session 2 at CU Boulder is off to a great start! Academy students dove into their courses while STEM Research students continued their research projects during the day. During the afternoons and evenings, both groups of students came together with plenty of activities to choose from. Monday’s Orientation was followed by a home-area tour, while our research students went bowling and enjoyed Pearl Street. After a Collegewise presentation busting college admissions myths on Tuesday, students were able to visit Pearl Street, and a few even went to the Rocky Mountain Vibes Baseball game in Colorado Springs! For the students who stayed back on campus, our awesome RCs led a yoga night during a beautiful Colorado sunset. The spirit of Colorado was in all of our activities on Wednesday, including a hike at Eldorado Canyon, a visit to the Boulder Farmers Market, 3v3 basketball at The Rec and an even of henna tattoos by a local artist.
Tonight wrapped up our weekday events with the option of a night at the Rec Center or the Age of Aquarius Liquid Sky show at the Fiske Planetarium.
Our weekend will start on Friday night with the choice of a night at Flatiron Crossing Mall and movies or the Get Air Trampoline Park! Saturday and Sunday will be filled with fun at Breckenridge or Rocky Mountain National Park on Saturday and Elitch Gardens or Denver on Sunday. We can’t wait to tell you all about it Sunday night!
