Today was a day of exploration for our Summer Discovery and Discovery Internships Boston students. Following the program orientation, our Discovery Internships students had the chance to visit their respective work locations and travel on the Boston subway also known as the “T.”
The excitement was palpable as the students swiped their Charlie Cards and boarded their respective trains. While our internship students traveled to neighborhoods in Boston, including Cambridge and Medford, our Summer Discovery students had adventures exploring our Home Area.
Today we challenged our Summer Discovery students to try new places in the Home Area including staff favorites such as Georgetown Cupcakes, Ben and Jerry’s, and the Prudential Center. Students tried new restaurants such as Cafeteria Boston, bought clothes at H&M, and got last minute supplies at CVS.
Here at Summer Discovery Boston, we’re ready for the adventures of this upcoming first week. Starting tomorrow morning, our Discovery Internships students start their jobs and our Summer Discovery students begin their classes. Keep following the blog for more updates and be sure to continue checking the photo album to see how awesome our summer is!
