  • TopDiscoveryWorks Community Service
    • Students have an opportunity through community service work to become involved in the betterment of the community where they live. Projects will include working with the aged, supervising after school play groups, and devoting time to environmental causes. Last summer, Summer Discovery students made a difference at a local youth center in Barcelona. They organized experiential learning and games, and mentored children through a variety of activities. Project times may vary from 2-3 hours a day, plus transportation, for a total of approximately 30 hours of service. These community service projects connect students to the community in a meaningful way, create opportunities for career exploration, and encourage students to continue their Spanish language learning outside of the classroom.
